軍隊の無い国になった，アイスランド

マスコミ各社の態度が如実に表れるニュースでした．

例えば，軍備増強の願望を持っている読売新聞は，こんな感じです．

元々、軍を持たない同国は、米軍撤退で“丸腰”となるため、国防議論が高まりそうだ。

煽るのが好きだなぁ，と思いました．

海外の報道を見たくてニューヨーク・タイムズやワシントン・ポストのサイトを見てみたのですが，どちらもロイターからの配信そのままでしたので，ロイターを見てみました．

という感じで，アイスランド国内で「国防論議が高まっている」というような既述は見当たりません．
ただ，

The two countries have signed an agreement that includes a U.S. promise to rush to Iceland's aid if needed.
（中略）
"If we had something of a conventional threat, I can tell you we'd be here fast," she added. "We have very mobile and agile forces now and we can move men and materiel very fast."

ということで，「なんかあったら，すぐにアメリカ本国からかけつけるから，大丈夫だよー」と，アイスランドがアメリカに頼り，アメリカはアイスランドを手放さないという構図なのは確かなようです．
